Heads Up Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail oriented CNC Shop Assistant to support daily operations in our CNC machine shop. This entry level position is ideal for someone interested in machine tool technology, aerospace technology, or hands on manufacturing. The role assists machinists, prepares parts, and helps maintain the quality, safety, and organization standards required to keep production moving efficiently.
Work Days and Hours: Part time, 24 to 29 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 6:30 AM and 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Location: Onsite in Addison, Texas.
Department: Operations.
Compensation: $17.50 per hour.
Position Type: Part time.
Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Deburr machined parts by removing rough edges and imperfections to help ensure they meet quality standards.
- Wash and prepare parts using industrial equipment for additional processing or assembly.
- Safely load and unload parts and materials in and out of CNC machines.
- Assist machinists with daily production needs to help keep work moving efficiently.
- Follow all established quality procedures and safety standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Support other duties as assigned.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high quality work.
- Ability to follow instructions, safety guidelines, and quality standards.
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
Ability to safely handle parts and work around industrial equipment
- Interest in machine tool technology, CNC operations, manufacturing, or aerospace technology.
- Previous hands on shop, production, or manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
- Comfort working in a production environment and using industrial equipment safely.
- No prior CNC experience is required. On the job training will be provided.
