We are seeking a mechanically inclined individual eager to leverage their hands-on skills in a machine shop environment. In this role, you will learn to run CNC machine lathes and mills on premium equipment like Mazak, Mori Seiki, and Hurco in a production & job shop mix. You will also use your mechanical aptitude to tear down / rebuild assemblies & complete multi stage builds that provide turnkey solutions for the customers.
Candidates should possess strong mechanical knowledge, interpersonal skills, & openness to learn. Prior experience in manufacturing, or assembly is preferred but not required.
Schedule & Compensation
- Pay Rate: $18.00+ per hour (depending on skill level)
- Work Schedule: First shift, 4 days per week (10-hour days)
- 3-day weekends every single week

Key Responsibilities
- Teardown and clean complex mechanical assembly components
- Inspect worn parts using precision measuring tools to diagnose issues
- Reassemble mechanical systems carefully back to original specifications according to samples or technical drawings
- Operate & set up CNC machinery in a production & job shop mix under mentorship from senior machinists
- Measure parts with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other gauges
- Load raw materials safely into production equipment
- Maintain safety standards and keep a clean workspace
- Maintain job traceability and quality control documentation
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on problem-solving skills
- Experience using hand tools and basic shop equipment
- Ability to read technical diagrams/drawings and follow detailed instructions accurately
- Basic math skills for measuring and calculating tolerances
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods of time, to complete repetitive movements when moving materials & assemblies, and to lift heavy parts (loading up to 60lb stock is a common requirement)
- High school diploma or equivalent certificate
- Reliable work ethic and a strong desire to learn a lifetime trade
- Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Mechanical knowledge related to assembly processes and fabrication techniques
- Excellent attention to detail and manual dexterity for precise work
- Teamwork and communication skills
