BCS Allegient is hiring a Senior Program Engineer to join our team at the Office of Naval Research in Arlington, VA.
- This position is contingent upon award.
Onsite Requirements – 4 days onsite, 1 day remote.
- Lead and manage a multi-disciplinary contractor team providing programmatic, technical, and analytical support to ONR's Science & Technology portfolio, including programs such as Future Naval Capabilities (FNC), Innovative Naval Prototypes (INP), and ONR Experimentation (OE).
- Provide day-to-day oversight and coordination of program execution; draft planning guidance, conduct technical reviews, and deliver recommendations to senior Government managers on programmatic and technical matters.
- Analyze S&T project data against external demand signals and Navy/DoW priorities; develop portfolio investment analyses, S&T roadmaps, and briefing materials for Congressional, DON, and senior DoD/DoW audiences.
- Support strategic planning activities including budget exhibit preparation, RDT&E planning documentation, and coordination with senior officials across the Naval Enterprise and Department of War.
- Facilitate cross-organizational engagement with Resource Sponsors, Acquisition partners, DARPA, and other external S&T stakeholders to ensure alignment and inform ONR courses of action.
- Manage team performance and ensure continuity of support across evolving Government priorities; serve as primary contractor point of contact for task planning, execution quality, and deliverable coordination
Job Requirements:
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university (required).
- 8–10 years of experience working with Disruptive Technologies and Quick Reaction environments within the Department of War (DoW).
- Experience with RDT&E program/budget exhibits and RDT&E strategic plans.
- Experience collaborating with and briefing senior Government personnel.
- Experience managing a diverse team in support of evolving leadership priorities.
- Experience with Accelerated Introduction of Technology to the Fleet or a similar transition program.
Desired / Additional Qualifications:
- Experience, within the last 10 years, specifically with Navy RDT&E program/budget exhibits and Navy RDT&E strategic plans.
- Experience, within the last 5 years, collaborating with senior Navy or Department of War personnel.
