We’re hiring an experienced IT/OT Systems Engineer to provide hands-on support and leadership in integrating, troubleshooting, and documenting industrial systems across shop floor environments. You’ll work with everything from legacy machines to modern networked systems used in laser imaging, CNC machining, and more.
In this role, you'll make an impact by:
Project Design and Documentation:
- Create high-quality technical documentation that meets customer technical governance and assurance criteria.
- Lead the design phase, ensuring all technical documentation aligns with project requirements.
Implementation:
- Oversee the deployment of IT hardware and software in critical manufacturing environments.
- Ensure the implementation phase is executed seamlessly, adhering to project timelines and quality standards.
Customer Acceptance and Transition:
- Manage the transition of projects from implementation to service support.
- Facilitate customer acceptance, ensuring all project deliverables meet or exceed expectations.
Technical Leadership:
- Assume a leadership role within projects, guiding and collaborating with technical delivery teams.
- Work effectively with customers' organizations and various IT suppliers to ensure seamless integration and project success.
- Understand our customers' challenges and perspectives, building credibility and strong relationships with a tailored delivery approach.
- Take accountability for project delivery "right first time" and providing technical lessons learned to commercial team.
- Strive for professional development and career progression, combining existing IT knowledge with experience gained in the manufacturing industry.
Customer Service:
- Bring commercial awareness and spot opportunities that will enhance ATS proposition for our customers.
**Requirements:**
- 3+ years in IT, OT, or systems engineering roles
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong experience troubleshooting Windows environments (7 and up)
- Working knowledge of VLAN networking and ACL behavior
- Comfort with scripting (PowerShell, VBScript preferred)
- 3 years of customer service
- At least 3 years in a manufacturing environment
- High emotional intelligence, patience, and strong communication skills
- Ability to learn quickly, document thoroughly, and collaborate effectively
**Preferred Experience:**
- Exposure to DNC software, Seiki, or MTConnect
- Experience working in regulated or industrial environments
- Familiarity with machine integration protocols and shop floor technologies
- Working knowledge of Enterprise IT systems and associated service and project delivery frameworks (ITIL, PRINCEIL, TOGAF)
- Understanding of OT (Operational Technologies) such as PLCs, SCADA, HMIs, and associated data transport protocols such as OPC UA, OPC DA, MTConnect, Porfinet, and Profibus
- Understanding of ISA-95 and its application to the "Purdue Model"

Pay: $72,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
