Provide case management services to Spanish-speaking clients, including assistance with applications, advocacy, certifications, and referrals related to social services, immigration, and translations.

Negotiate human service needs in the areas of affordable housing, healthcare, substance use disorder, transportation, employment, training, domestic violence, food assistance, and referral services for strengthening families to be self-sufficient.

Manage cases involving clients experiencing periodic crises.

Transport clients in agency vehicle when necessary.

Assist at reception desk as needed and perform interoffice mail delivery.

Maintain client files and complete timely progress notes.

Attend staff meetings, in-service training, relevant seminars, and workshops.

Prepare reports, correspondence, and records as needed.

Ensure client confidentiality in accordance with agency policy.

Develop charts, forms, and other operational materials, and implement operational systems to achieve effective workloads and workflow to benefit the households served.

Perform other duties or special projects as directed by supervisor.

Experience in human services field.

Knowledge of principles and practices of human services.

Awareness and sensitivity of cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of local diverse population.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational, time management, client service and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.

Ability to exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment and discretion.

Computer literacy including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, as well as experience and ability to use a database case management system.

Bilingual English/Spanish is required.
Work conditions may include:

Exposure to inclement weather and noise.

Exposure to electronic equipment including computers, printers, fax, and copy machines and cleaning equipment.

Position requires use of a motor vehicle, driving on city streets and/or highways, exposure to inclement weather and traffic. Employees are to take all precautions and follow all laws while in these environments.

Offered compensation: $18/hr - $20/hr
