We have 2 openings for this Part-Time clerical support position in our Student Life Office. Position is limited to 19 hours per week. Requires the provision of official transcripts and/or certifications within (30) days of hire. Applicants with academic credentials from non-U.S. accredited institutions are required to have their coursework evaluated in terms of U.S. "equivalency." All international credential evaluations must be conducted by one of the companies affiliated with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services, Inc. (NACES®) in order to be considered for a faculty position. The Part-Time Assistant, Student Life supports the Student Life Office by assisting with student events, programs, and services that foster engagement, leadership, and community on campus. This position provides clerical and event support, assists student organizations, and delivers customer service in a student-centered environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESAssist in the planning, promotion, and coordination of student activities, events, and programsProvide clerical and front-desk support for the Student Life Office, including answering phones, greeting students, and managing inquiriesSupport student clubs and organizations with event logistics, room reservations, and promotional materialsAssist with Student Government Association activities and programsMaintain bulletin boards, digital signage, and campus event postingsProvide support for orientation, campus recruiting events, and community outreach activitiesAssist with ID card production and inventoryProvide general office support including filing, data entry, and schedulingOther duties as assigned by the Director, Athletics or designeeWORK ENVIRONMENTThe employee typically works in an office or other on campus environment and uses a computer, telephone and other office equipment as needed to perform duties with frequent interaction with students, staff, and the public. May involve occasional evening or weekend work to support events. The noise level in the work environment is typical of that of an office or other on campus event setting. The employee may encounter frequent interruptions throughout the workday. PHYSICAL DEMANDSThe employee is regularly required to sit, talk, or hear; frequently required to use repetitive hand motion, handle or feel, and to stand, walk, reach, bend or lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
