Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food items from the kitchen to dining areas, adhering to food safety standards and safe lifting practices
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, supporting kitchen staff in plating and garnishing dishes
- Serve food efficiently using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure accurate orders and billing
- Buss tables promptly by clearing dishes, resetting tables, and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas
- Support banquet events by delivering food to designated areas with professionalism and timeliness
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team to coordinate order delivery and guest needs
- Uphold high standards of food handling, manual handling, and customer service throughout all duties
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience or hospitality background preferred, including food service or food handling roles
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Experience in banquet service, bussing, or catering environments is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and follow safe lifting practices consistently
- Strong communication skills with a focus on guest services and teamwork
- Knowledge of food safety standards and basic culinary or kitchen experience beneficial
- Prior hotel or culinary experience is a plus but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential
