Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using precision measuring instruments such as height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
- Perform dimensional measurements and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) analysis to verify product specifications.
- Utilize vision inspection systems and other advanced quality tools to identify defects or deviations from quality standards in manufacturing processes.
- Review and interpret manufacturing documentation, including mechanical blueprints, production records, and regulatory compliance standards such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and GMP.
- Execute regular quality audits to ensure adherence to ISO standards and internal quality management systems.
- Collect and analyze data related to quality metrics; prepare detailed reports for continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with production teams to address non-conformances, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of calibration and use of measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, height gauges, and vision inspection systems.
- Familiarity with regulatory standards such as ISO 13485 (medical devices), ISO 9001 (quality management), FDA regulations, HACCP, CGMP, and GMP.
- Ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
- Mechanical knowledge with an understanding of manufacturing processes and dimensional measurement techniques.
- Excellent analysis skills with attention to detail; capable of performing precision measurements in machining environments.
- Basic math skills for data collection and measurement calculations.
- Experience conducting quality audits and maintaining compliance with legal standards in production settings.
- Strong communication skills for documenting findings clearly and collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
