Job Summary
We are seeking a dependable, hardworking Cultivation Tech I to join our indoor cultivation team. This is an entry-level position responsible for supporting the daily care and maintenance of cannabis plants in a licensed commercial cannabis facility, with a primary focus on hands-on labor tasks including defoliation, transplanting, and facility cleaning.
This is a full-time position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday, 8 hours per day.
The ideal candidate is reliable, works well with a team, follows instructions carefully, and is comfortable working on their feet in a fast-paced cultivation environment. No prior cannabis experience is required — we will train the right candidate.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include:
- Perform defoliation, pruning, and basic plant training tasks as directed by cultivation leads
- Assist with transplanting plants between growth stages
- Assist with watering, plant moves, and general plant care tasks
- Maintain clean and organized cultivation rooms, work areas, tools, and equipment — sweeping, mopping, removing plant waste, and sanitizing surfaces
- Break down and clean pots, trays, and other cultivation materials
- Assist with harvest and post-harvest cleanup as needed
- Report basic plant health concerns (pests, discoloration, wilting) to cultivation leads
- Follow company SOPs for sanitation, biosecurity, and cultivation tasks
- Accurately follow instructions from cultivation leads and management
- Comply with all state cannabis regulations, company policies, and workplace safety requirements
- Perform other cultivation and facility duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Must be able to work in a licensed cannabis facility
- Must be available for a regular Monday through Friday schedule
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and standard operating procedures
- Ability to work on your feet for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed
- Comfortable working in warm, humid, and physically active environments
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
- Positive attitude and ability to work well with a team
Preferred:
- Previous experience in agriculture, landscaping, warehouse, or other physical labor roles
- Previous commercial cannabis cultivation experience
- Basic familiarity with plants or gardening
Schedule
This is a full-time position with an expected schedule of Monday through Friday. Schedule may vary slightly based on harvests, production needs, and facility operations.
Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour
