Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Experience
- In addition to education, this role typically calls for two to four years of relevant professional experience; (Minimum of one-year relevant experience is required).
- Knowledge of piping plan standards and related governmental regulations.
- Experience with application of math, algebraic formulas, calculus, and statistics.
- Experience in use and function of office equipment including computers and software such as GIS, AutoCAD, Synergi, Excel, Access, Technical Toolbox, Copperleaf, Maximo, Solidworks, or other relevant software.
- Experience and training related to:
- Interpersonal/communication skills
- Customer services field policies and procedures
- Transmission/distribution pipeline operations
- Company/governmental operating and safety procedures
- Line extension and relocation policies and procedures
- Calculation of mechanical properties of material
- Construction/industry standards and procedures
- Asset planning and management software (as specified by position)
- Job estimating and compliance software (as specified by position)
- Experience identifying, researching, evaluating, and prioritizing operational problems or specific situations and coordinating appropriate action/response.
- Experience researching and preparing pipeline construction contracts, pipeline capacity lease (PCL) requests, budget projects, job orders, material requisitions, engineering studies, and correspondence.
- Experience reading and interpreting governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, surveys, charts, load studies, asset investment, risk reports, and other forms of data and written communication.
- Experience interacting, negotiating, advising, and communicating effectively.
- Experience developing information and making presentations to groups and individuals.
Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.

Licenses and Certifications
Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred.
Applicable driver's license. Requires travel to other company offices and facilities and to job sites.
Additional Requirements
- Mobility to travel in and around plant and office facilities and around job sites out of doors.
- Able to operate tools and equipment required.
- Communicate and/or exchange information; conduct oral presentations.
Visual abilities sufficient to perform job duties.
