Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and motivated Pediatric Nurse Practitioner or Family Nurse Practitioner to join our established outpatient pediatric practice in Salisbury, Maryland.
The ideal candidate enjoys building long-term relationships with children and families while providing high-quality, evidence-based care from infancy through young adulthood. This position offers a consistent part-time schedule, an established patient population, and the opportunity to work alongside an experienced team of pediatric providers and behavioral health professionals.
Schedule
- Approximately 26–30 patient-facing hours per week
- One evening per week until 7:00 PM
- Established providers typically see approximately 22–30 patients per full clinical day, depending on visit type and schedule
- Appropriate onboarding and schedule ramp-up will be provided for new graduates
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care, including well-child visits, acute/sick visits, chronic disease management, and follow-up care.
- Assess, diagnose, and manage common pediatric medical and behavioral health conditions.
- Provide preventive care and anticipatory guidance consistent with current pediatric recommendations.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, development, and preventive health.
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, behavioral health professionals, and clinical support staff.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain current knowledge of pediatric clinical guidelines and evidence-based practices.
Qualifications & Skills
- Active or eligible Maryland licensure
- Pediatric or outpatient primary care experience preferred; new graduates are welcome to apply
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Comfortable managing a busy outpatient schedule independently following orientation
- Excellent communication skills with children, adolescents, parents, and caregivers
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Experience managing common pediatric behavioral and developmental concerns is a plus
- Familiarity with pediatric coding and documentation is beneficial
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation is negotiable based on experience, schedule, and expected patient volume.
The position includes:
