Ironton Animal Hospital is urgently hiring for a Veterinary Assistant.
This will be a Monday-Friday position, with one day off during the week. Hours are 8am-5:30pm. No weekends
Preferred knowledge, abilities:
- Must be reliable.
- Must be comfortable while working around and handling animals.
- Must be able to communicate and work well with staff and clients.
- Experience with Cornerstone preferred, but not required.
As an assistant you will be required too:
- Assisting Doctors: restrain pets during exam, prep animals for surgeries, assist in surgery, draw blood, use microscope.
- Perform a variety of lab work.
- Animal care including: feeding, walking, cleaning cages and administering medications as needed.
- Stocking inventory
*We do prefer someone who has experience in this field. Experience with Ezyvet is a PLUS.
*Pay will be determined by experience.
