Job Summary
Ideal Recovery is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Lot Manager to oversee all daily operations at our repossession lot. In this key role, you’ll manage vehicle intake, maintain accurate vehicle inventory, and coordinate vehicle release in a secure and organized environment. This position plays a critical role in supporting our overall asset recovery process.
Key Responsibilities
Lot Operations & Vehicle Intake
- Manage daily operations of the repossession lot with a focus on efficiency, organization, and security.
- Oversee vehicle intake procedures, including documentation verification, condition assessments, and assigning storage locations.
- Ensure proper processing and placement of all recovered vehicles and assets.
Vehicle Inventory & Documentation
- Maintain accurate, real-time vehicle inventory using tracking software and physical checks.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
- Complete and file all documentation, including condition reports, photographs, and chain-of-custody forms.
Security & Compliance
- Enforce strict security protocols across the repossession lot to protect all stored assets.
- Monitor surveillance systems and conduct regular perimeter checks.
- Ensure compliance with all safety and repossession regulations.
Vehicle Release Coordination
- Handle all vehicle release procedures, working with lienholders, transport companies, and vehicle owners.
- Ensure accurate paperwork is completed before asset release.
- Coordinate timely asset handoff with internal teams and external contacts.
Team & Communication
- Collaborate with field agents and office staff to streamline asset recovery processes.
- Address questions about lot procedures, vehicle inventory status, and asset availability.
- Train new team members on lot protocols, safety practices, and system usage.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in lot management, vehicle storage, impound, lot management, recovery operations, or repossession operations.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Proficiency in inventory or lot tracking software (basic computer skills required).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift, walk, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Experience in impound/recovery/automotive operations preferred.
- Experience operating self-loader tow trucks preferred but not required.
