American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Ortho RN for a night shift travel assignment requiring a MT or compact RN license and at least 1 year of specialty experience.

Med/Surg Ortho unit in a hospital setting
-
Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week (36 hours/week)
-
May float to other departments within scope of competency and qualifications based on business need
-
May be placed on-call during a regularly scheduled shift
-
Uses Epic for clinical documentation
-
Active RN license (MT state or compact) required, no pending licenses accepted
-
BLS certification through American Heart Association required
-
ACLS, NRP, or PALS certification as appropriate for the unit or service
-
ASN required, BSN preferred
-
Minimum 1 year of experience in Med/Surg Ortho specialty required
-
Certifications must not expire prior to assignment start date
-
DOB and last 4 digits of SSN required for consideration

Perform independent nursing functions and delegated medical functions per state Board of Nursing standards

Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient nursing care
-
Conduct health teaching, counseling, and therapeutic/restorative treatments
-
Execute delegated medical functions and refer patients for further evaluation as needed

Review and monitor treatment plans and document care in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines

Promote the mission, vision, and values of the health system and adhere to service behavior standards
-
Former permanent staff must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a travel assignment
