Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting gardening supplies, plants, lawn care products, and outdoor equipment.
- Provide expert advice on landscape maintenance, horticulture practices, floral design, and plant identification to help customers achieve their outdoor goals.
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently for cashiering and cash handling while ensuring accurate retail math calculations.
- Maintain attractive merchandising displays, stock shelves, and organize inventory to enhance the shopping experience.
- Support e-commerce initiatives by processing online orders and coordinating in-store pickup or delivery options.
- Answer customer inquiries via phone communication with professionalism and clarity, offering solutions tailored to their outdoor or gardening needs.
- Assist with outdoor work tasks such as lawn care and landscape maintenance when required, demonstrating hands-on experience in horticulture and gardening.
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience preferred, especially in outdoor goods, gardening centers, or home improvement stores.
- Knowledge of lawn care techniques, landscape maintenance practices, horticulture principles, and floral design is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling procedures, and retail math ensures smooth transactions.
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customer bases.
- Outdoor work experience enhances understanding of gardening tools, plant identification, and landscaping projects.
