As the Program Lead Mammography Technologist for our Mobile Unit, you will be responsible for spearheading the establishment of our new Mammography Program and overseeing its day-to-day operations while traveling between Clearwater Valley Health and St. Mary's Health. You will play a crucial role in achieving and maintaining ACR accreditation for our mobile mammography services. This is a challenging and rewarding position that requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to providing the highest quality patient care.
Essential Job Functions:

Collaborate with management and key stakeholders to develop a comprehensive Mammography Program for our mobile unit, including defining goals, objectives, and timelines.

Create and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the program's success.

Lead efforts to achieve and maintain ACR accreditation for the Mobile Mammography Program.

Stay current with ACR guidelines and standards, ensuring compliance during travel and at both locations.

Prepare and submit accreditation applications, reports, and documentation as required.

Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance program to ensure the accuracy and safety of mammography procedures conducted on the mobile unit.

Monitor and evaluate the quality of mammography images and patient experiences during travel.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the program's efficiency and effectiveness.

Perform mammography examinations on patients in both locations, ensuring the highest level of image quality and patient comfort.

Educate patients about the mammography process and address any concerns or questions.

Maintain patient confidentiality and provide emotional support as needed. Establish and maintain a robust quality assurance program to ensure the accuracy and safety of mammography procedures conducted on the mobile unit.

Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local regulations pertaining to mobile mammography services.

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including radiation safety measures, while traveling and at both locations.

Maintain accurate records of all mammography procedures and patient information for both locations.

Generate reports and statistics to track program performance and outcomes.

Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the program's efficiency and effectiveness.

Follows hospital exposure control plans/blood borne and airborne pathogens.

Maintains confidentiality of all hospital and patient information at all times. Follows HIPAA regulations and policies.

Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

Communicate with patients, families and co-workers in person, in writing and on telephone.
Minimum Qualifications:

Associate’s degree in radiologic technology or related field (preferred).

Certified and registered as a Mammography Technologist. (preferred)

Minimum of 3 years of experience in mammography.

Strong knowledge of ACR accreditation requirements.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Proficient in using mammography equipment and related software.

Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
-
Ability to adapt to evolving technology and industry standards.
-
Current CPR certification.
