Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide attentive, friendly service to enhance their café experience
- Prepare a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialty drinks, following established recipes and quality standards
- Operate POS systems to process sales accurately and efficiently
- Manage retail sales transactions with precision, including cash handling, credit card processing, and issuing receipts
- Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including food preparation zones, counters, and seating areas, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards
- Assist with food handling and basic food preparation tasks to support overall café operations
- Ensure timely beverage service and drink presentation to meet customer expectations while managing time effectively during busy periods
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or café environments is preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Clover POS or Toast POS for smooth transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and transaction accuracy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as cleaning and food prep
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced setting
