Responsibilities
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently to clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools
- Follow strict food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including handling ingredients and organizing supplies
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishes to the dishwashing area
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing station and surrounding kitchen areas by regularly sanitizing surfaces and equipment
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of pots, pans, and bulk supplies with proper technique to prevent injury
- Adhere to all kitchen health and safety standards, including proper food handling and sanitation protocols
Experience
- Previous food service experience or background working in restaurants, hotels, catering, or banquet settings is preferred
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and sanitation tools is advantageous
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly valued
- Experience with culinary tasks such as basic cooking or knife skills can be beneficial but is not mandatory
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Prior hospitality or catering experience will help you excel in this role
