You will join the Production Department, taking on the role of Mechanical Assembler within a team of technicians/others, reporting to the Autonomous Production Unit Leader (APUL).
The Mechanical Assembler position requires an individual to be detail oriented and flexible, and must be proficient in reading and interpreting basic assembly instructions
The individual will not only be responsible for assembling hardware and components but must be available to assist in any other areas in the plant as needed, including cementing, shipping, testing, etc.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
- Reads and deciphers blueprints, and assembly instructions.
- Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
- Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
- Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing parts lists and gathering parts, tools, and materials.
- Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or measurement devices.
- Assembles components
- Keeps equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and alerting APUL for repairs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
- Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture,
- Regular, predictable attendance is required;
- Other duties may be assigned.
