Are you an experienced HVAC professional ready to take the lead on top-tier installations? At Thompson Heating & Air we are looking for a skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented Lead HVAC Installer to join our growing team. We specialize in high-quality residential and light commercial installations and we pride ourselves on doing the job right the first time.
What You Will Do:
- Lead and manage residential and commercial HVAC system installations from start to finish
- Mentor and oversee junior installers and helpers on the job site
- Ensure all installations comply with local codes, safety standards, and company guidelines
- Maintain clean and organized work areas, vehicles, and equipment
- Communicate clearly with customers, general contractors, and project managers
- Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications
- Troubleshoot system issues and make necessary adjustments for optimal performance
- Read and follow all job notes thoroughly before arriving on site
What We Are Looking For:
- 4 or more years of HVAC installation experience — lead or supervisory role preferred
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork, controls, and tools
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
- Experience communicating with general contractors and project managers
- EPA Universal or Type II certification required
- Valid SC driver's license with clean driving record
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in attics, crawlspaces, and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must read and follow all job notes thoroughly before arriving on site
- Must pass drug screening
- Must carry own liability insurance
Pay: $30 to $45 per hour depending on experience
