The Palm Beach County Bar Association (PBCBA) is a non-profit, attorney member-based organization located in West Palm Beach. PBCBA is the largest voluntary bar association in Palm Beach County.
Position Summary
The CLE Coordinator is responsible for the planning, coordination, marketing, accreditation, and execution of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) seminars and related programming. This position works closely with CLE committee chairs, speakers, sponsors, vendors, and staff to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality educational programming while maximizing attendance, sponsorship participation, and member engagement.
General Duties and Responsibilities
Program Development & Coordination
- Work with Committee Chairs to coordinate and produce high-quality CLE seminars and educational programming.
- Provide guidance and historical information to CLE chairs and committees regarding seminar planning, successful topics, and prior programming.
- Prepare individualized orientation materials and seminar guidance packets for incoming CLE chairs.
- Attend and provide support to CLE committee chairs during meetings regarding seminar planning and implementation.
- Monitor seminar registrations and attendance trends and implement additional promotional strategies when necessary.
- Help to secure and coordinate speakers for seminars when appropriate.
- Compile and distribute seminar manuals, materials, presentations, and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate moderator instructions and sponsor recognition details for seminar
- Prepare and submit CLE accreditation applications to The Florida Bar
- Coordinate seminar logistics including venue arrangements, audiovisual needs, room layouts, catering, and reception planning.
Marketing & Sponsorship
- Create seminar flyers and promotional materials.
- Coordinate seminar advertising through the bar bulletin, website, email campaign, social media, and external platforms.
- Help committee chairs solicit and secure seminar sponsorships
- Prepare sponsorship proposals and track payments
- Prepare sponsor signage and coordinate sponsor recognition at events
Post-Seminar Administration
- Coordinate seminar audio recordings and distribute materials to appropriate staff
- Oversee seminar surveys and provide summarized feedback to committee chairs.
- Prepare and distribute thank-you letters to speakers and sponsors and provide sponsor attendee lists
Education/Experience
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously.
- Experience coordinating events, seminars, or educational programming preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, email marketing platforms such as Constant Contact, and marketing software such as Canva.
- Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys, judges, sponsors, vendors, and volunteers.
- Familiarity with CLE accreditation processes and legal industry organizations preferred but not required.
- Some knowledge of legal practice areas preferred but not required
· Associate degree and/or at least four years of experience working in a customer-centric environment.
Work Environment and Benefits
· This job operates in a standard professional office environment, five days a week at 35-40/hours/week.
