Position Summary
We are hiring a Sanitation Lead! Thie role will be leading our sanitation crew at our Egg Processing Plant. This role is responsible for ensuring all production areas and equipment are cleaned and sanitized to meet or exceed USDA and food safety standards.
Sanitation Technicians play a critical role in maintaining food safety, product quality, and operational excellence.

Experience:
- Leadership: 3 years (Required)
- Industrial Sanitation: 2 years (Preferred)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead and support team operations to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency
- Train employees on food safety (HACCP, GMP, USDA), sanitation, and operational procedures
- Maintain knowledge of plant operations, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards
- Track inventory, maintain records, and oversee product testing and QA sampling
- Perform and oversee sanitation duties, including disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling equipment
- Clean and sanitize facility areas (floors, walls, drains, restrooms) to meet USDA standards
- Safely handle cleaning chemicals and follow all safety protocols
- Assist with processing operations, cross-train in multiple departments, and fill in as needed
- Operate forklifts and pallet jacks (certification required)
- Support performance management and help improve team efficiency and procedures
- Work flexible/variable shifts and perform effectively in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications and Requirements
Required:
- Ability to perform all essential duties safely and effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (Spanish preferred).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred:
- Sanitation experience in a food manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC standards.
- Basic maintenance and electrical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
Skills & Abilities
- Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, bend, reach, and walk for extended periods.
- Fine motor manipulation.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs consistently.
- Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals.
- Ability to work in a wet and temperature-variable environment.
