Sun Super Market is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and experienced professional to join our team in a dual role supporting both our Kitchen and Vegetable Departments. This is a full-time position requiring a dedicated individual who can handle high-volume food prep, heavy cleaning, and produce management. [1]Compensation & Benefits
- Starting Pay: $10.00 per hour
- Growth: Guaranteed pay raise upon successful completion of a 2-month training period.
- Schedule: Consistent weekly schedule with Mondays and Tuesdays off.
Weekly Work ScheduleThis position splits time between two key areas of our store:
- Kitchen Shift Schedule:
- Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Thursday: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM
- Friday (Split Role): 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Vegetable Department Shift Schedule:
- Friday (Split Role): 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Sunday: 12:00 PM – 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities Kitchen Operations:
- Food Preparation: Prep ingredients and food items to set up operations for the following day.
- Equipment Maintenance: Filter fryer oil and perform deep cleaning of kitchen machinery.
- Sanitation: Wash dishes, sanitize workstations, and mop floors to maintain strict hygiene standards.
Vegetable Department Operations:
- Inventory Handling: Pull fresh vegetables from the cooler and ensure proper rotation.
- Packaging: Clean, package, and accurately label vegetables for the sales floor.
- Department Upkeep: Keep the display areas and backroom organized, clean, and safe.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Previous kitchen experience is strictly required.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to safely and repeatedly lift up to 50 lbs.
- Language: Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus, though not required.
- Attributes: Strong work ethic, excellent time management, and a high level of dependability.
