About the Role
Osbee Industries is one of the leading residential AV and integration technology companies in the tri-state area, and we're hiring an Associate Project Manager to help run our most demanding luxury AV, home automation, and low-voltage integration projects. You'll handle day-to-day project coordination on assigned jobs — scheduling, documentation, site visits, and communication among technicians, clients, and other trades — while developing toward independent management of your own projects.
Pay: $70,000–$90,000/year, commensurate with experience. Full-time, salaried, with a company vehicle, laptop, and cellphone provided.
What You'll Do
- Support project managers on complex AV and low-voltage integration projects, and independently manage smaller projects as experience grows
- Act as a point of contact between Osbee resources, clients, and other trades such as general contractors, electricians, and interior designers
- Review plans, proposals, scopes, schedules, and specifications; maintain project spec books, equipment lists, and job documentation
- Write clear emails, meeting recaps, RFIs, status reports, punch lists, and client and contractor communications
- Track open items, decisions, approvals, submittals, equipment, lead times, and project milestones
- Visit jobsites and verify field conditions match the drawings and project requirements
- Generate progress reports following project site visits and new project surveys
- Identify problems early and raise them before they affect schedule, cost, or quality
- Coordinate daily task assignments for field technicians and brief them before deployment to site
- Receive end-of-day debriefs from technicians and plan the following day accordingly
- Draft change orders for project manager review
- Produce rack sketches and simple architectural drawings in AutoCAD, and mark up and edit drawings to keep documentation current
- Maintain jobs in Osbee's project-management system
What We're Looking For
- 1–2 years of experience with audio, video, or lighting systems, construction, or general low-voltage/AV installation — or in project coordination, architecture, engineering, or interiors
- Ability to read architectural and electrical drawings and learn construction documentation
- Familiarity with residential home control systems such as Crestron, Lutron, Savant, or Control4, or related home automation and entertainment hardware
- A deep interest in learning new technologies and hardware
- Strong writing skills, with the ability to communicate a high level of detail concisely
- Confidence to speak directly by phone and in person with clients, architects, designers, builders, electricians, and vendors when it will resolve something faster than email
- Ability to work with a team to solve complex, critical-path challenges
- Ability to juggle many open items without losing track of details, staying proactive about following up and closing loops
- Ability to draft in AutoCAD; mid-to-advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; willingness to learn manufacturer programming platforms
- Comfortable visiting active construction sites
- Associate or bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- A valid U.S. driver's license
