Waldorf-Inspired Forest School Teacher
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.

Job Summary
The Woodlands at Moonbow is seeking Waldorf-inspired educators and outdoor enthusiasts to join our growing forest school community for the 2026–2027 school year.
Our teachers spend their days outdoors, guiding mixed-age groups of children ages 5–12 through meaningful experiences in nature. Situated on more than 30 acres of private preserve, The Woodlands offers children the opportunity to learn through exploration, storytelling, handcrafts, practical skills, nature study, and child-led discovery.
We are looking for teachers who believe childhood should be filled with wonder, movement, creativity, and connection to the natural world. Ideal candidates are warm, dependable, and comfortable spending the majority of the day outdoors in all seasons.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise groups of children ages 5–12 in an outdoor forest school setting
- Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment
- Facilitate nature-based learning experiences, storytelling, games, handcrafts, and seasonal activities
- Support children's social-emotional development and conflict resolution
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, and colleagues
- Maintain awareness of safety practices while exploring forested environments
- Collaborate with fellow educators to plan and implement programming
Qualifications
- Experience working with children in educational, camp, homeschool, outdoor education, or related settings
- Appreciation for Waldorf-inspired and nature-based educational philosophies
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive, collaborative, and flexible attitude
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)
