Namaste Bernedoodles raises healthy, well socialized, premium Bernedoodles in the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex and matches them with families all over the country. We are growing, and we are looking for a new team member to help care for our dogs, coordinate their travel, and support the families waiting for them.
This role is a fit if you:
- Have a valid driver's license, a reliable vehicle, and current auto liability insurance
- Are comfortable transporting dogs in your own vehicle
- Can work full time and commute to Dallas, TX 75243 with regular travel around DFW
- Are comfortable on your feet, outdoors at times, and lifting dogs
- Communicate clearly in writing and in person
What the work looks like:
Working with the dogs. Handling puppies and adult dogs with care and confidence, and driving them where they need to go. Vet visits, the airport, or out to meet their families.
Taking care of people. Everyone here takes a rotating customer service shift, answering questions from families who are excited, a little nervous, and full of questions about the dog they are about to bring home. Patience matters as much as accuracy.
Keeping things moving. Schedules, travel, appointments, hand offs. Writing things down so the next person is not guessing. We run on Google Drive, Docs, and Sheets.
Rolling with the day. Things move fast. When you are working with live animals, plans change without warning, and the people who do well here adjust without losing their footing.
We are careful about keeping our dogs healthy, so there are a few house rules you will get used to quickly. Shoes off at the door, clean clothes, and sanitizing hands between groups. This matters most around puppies who are still waiting on the rest of their vaccines.
Who does well here:
Some of our best people came from jobs where staying calm and kind under pressure was the whole job. Hotels and hospitality. Senior living, nursing homes, and hospice care. Grooming, boarding, veterinary clinics, and animal care programs.
If that is you and you are ready for a change of pace, you already have the part of this job that is hardest to teach. The rest we can show you. And spending the day with puppies is a pretty good trade.
Nice to have:
- Professional experience with dogs in grooming, boarding, training, veterinary, or other related settings
- Experience coordinating travel, logistics, or scheduling
- Comfort with spreadsheets and shared documents on Google Drive
