Alpha Creek Home Health & CDS Services is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) / Nursing Assistant to join our care team. We are dedicated to providing individualized, person-centered care that allows individuals to maintain comfort, dignity, and independence in their own homes.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about helping others, provides care with compassion and respect, and understands the importance of advocating for each individual’s unique needs. Experience with geriatrics, dementia care, behavioral health, and individuals requiring specialized support is highly valued.
Spanish-speaking candidates are strongly encouraged to apply. Bilingual Spanish/English communication skills are preferred to better support our clients and their families.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility support.
- Provide safe assistance with transfers and mobility equipment, including Hoyer lifts and slide boards when needed.
- Monitor and document vital signs and report any changes or concerns appropriately.
- Support personal hygiene, comfort, and safety through proper care techniques.
- Assist with medication reminders and medication support as directed by licensed professionals.
- Provide compassionate care for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, developmental disabilities, and behavioral health needs.
- Maintain client confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
- Follow infection control and safety procedures.
- Collaborate with families and care teams to provide quality, individualized support.
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification preferred.
- Previous experience in home care, community care, assisted living, nursing facilities, hospitals, or other healthcare settings preferred.
- Experience with dementia care, behavioral health, or individuals with special needs is a plus.
- Ability to provide compassionate and respectful care while maintaining professionalism.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of HIPAA guidelines and proper documentation practices.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed.
