Berlin Foundry & Machine Company, located in Berlin, New Hampshire, is seeking an experienced CNC & Conventional Machinist to join our team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in precision work, problem solving, and producing high-quality parts in a manufacturing environment. Preference given to those who have experience with core cutting and core handling.
This position requires strong experience operating both manual( including a lathe and milling machines) and CNC machines,. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently while also contributing to a team-focused shop environment.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate manual lathes, mills, grinders, and other machining equipment
Program, set up, and operate CNC machinery
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications
Maintain tight tolerances and perform quality inspections
Troubleshoot machining and tooling issues
Work with a variety of materials and custom projects
Assist with fabrication and shop projects as needed
Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Qualifications:
Extensive machining experience required - 5+ recent years preferred
Strong understanding of machining principles, tooling, feeds, and speeds
Ability to read precision measuring tools and blueprints
Experience with CNC programming and setup preferred
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently
