Duties
- Coordinate between kitchen staff and front-of-house team to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Verify order accuracy, completeness, and presentation before serving to guests
- Communicate special requests or dietary restrictions clearly to kitchen personnel
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to facilitate efficient food flow and safety compliance
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including plating and garnishing
- Monitor food safety standards and ensure proper handling and storage of ingredients
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and maintaining cleanliness in dining areas when necessary
Experience
- Previous experience in food expediting or food service roles preferred
- Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including food preparation, serving, and kitchen procedures
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen staff and servers
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper handling techniques
- Experience with banquet service or hotel hospitality environments is a plus
- Basic numeracy skills for order counting and inventory awareness
