Position Description:
The warehouse forklift driver will organize and store product to meet customer specifications in compliance with company policy, GMPs and Safety.
This position is Monday through Friday first shift.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Load and unload trucks and railcars per bill of ladings
- Receive, count, and verify incoming and outgoing shipments
- Verification of required receiving/shipped paperwork
- Organize and store product
- Operate all warehouse equipment in safe manner
- Communicate safety issues to manager/supervisor
- Stage customer orders in organized manner on shipping dock
- Maintain organized, safe, and clean working environment
- Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, Policies and Procedures outlined in the Food Program
- Ability to maintain positive relationships with team members, vendors, and customers
- Building maintenance as needed
Perform other duties as assigned. Required Education, Experience, and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read shipping and receiving records/reports
- Dependable attendance
- Hard worker
- Team player Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:
- Basic understanding of shipping and receiving processes and related equipment
- Forklift experience.
Working Conditions:
- Repetitive work in a fast-paced environment with average temperature of Zero degree freezers -60 degrees F (depending on worksite location)
- Some manual labor with heavy lifting required (approximately 40 pounds)
- Safety equipment may be required
- Use of motor skills to safely drive in tight quarters
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
