Parsons House Austin is a thriving independent and assisted living community seeking a dynamic individual to lead our programs as Activity Director (Resident Services Director). We are looking for an energetic, dependable person who enjoys helping our residents engage in life both inside and outside our community. Experience working with seniors is preferred. If you are you passionate about helping others, join our team of compassionate professionals! Schedule will be Monday to Friday and may require you to work some holidays and weekends.
Activity Director Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead programming that will encourage participation, engagement and interaction.
- Programs may include but are not limited to wellness, social, intellectual, crafts and spiritual activities for seniors with: physical limitations, dementia and active lifestyles.
- Supervise Activity Assistants to carry out the department goals and agenda.
- Some driving may be required.

What we require of our Activity Director candidate:
- Candidates must be at least 25 years old due to auto insurance requirements
- Candidates must have a valid current Texas drivers license
- Candidates must be willing to drive a 12-passenger bus with wheelchair lift (Commercial Driver's License is NOT required)
- At least 2 years experience in a senior living community (CCRC, independent living, assisted living or nursing home)
- Must be able to clear background check, TB test and drug screening.
