Description:
The Surface Landman I is a highly motivated land professional with 3–5 years of experience supporting surface operations, drilling programs, and cross-functional field activities. This role requires strong communication skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and effective in both office and field environments with a drive to improve technical proficiencies.
Key Responsibilities

Secure all required surface agreements to support Operations and Drilling Programs.

Obtain all necessary state and county permits.

Serve as a primary point of contact for landowner communications and resolve concerns.

Manage administrative tasks associated with surface agreements and documentation.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years in land experience.

Bachelor’s degree required.

Advanced working knowledge of Excel.

Experience with Esri/ArcGIS preferred.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.

Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Job is classified as light physical work primarily in an office setting involving sitting, with intermittent periods of stooping, walking and standing.

May occasionally be required to lift, carry, push or pull 10-25 pounds.

Potential exposure to noise levels requiring the use of hearing protection.

Some work may be performed in outside weather conditions, including rain and extreme cold and heat, near moving mechanical parts; exposure to high wind, ice, snow, wet and/or humid conditions, vibration, and dust is expected.
