Perform routine safety checks and rounds on residents at scheduled intervals

Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including:

Toileting and incontinence care

Dressing and grooming (as needed overnight)

Mobility assistance and repositioning

Respond promptly to call lights, alarms, and emergency situations

Monitor residents for changes in condition and report concerns to supervisor

Maintain accurate documentation of care provided and overnight observations

Ensure a clean, safe, and organized environment (light housekeeping, laundry, etc.)

Provide emotional support and reassurance to residents who may be anxious or confused

Assist with early morning routines and prepare residents for day shift staff

Previous caregiving experience preferred (assisted living, home care, or nursing home)

CNA/GNA certification preferred but not always required

Ability to stay awake, alert, and attentive throughout overnight shift

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively

Ability to lift, transfer, and assist residents (up to 50 lbs or more with assistance)

Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods

Capable of responding quickly in emergency situations
