Classic Printing and Signs is looking for an experienced Flatbed Screen Press Operator to take ownership of our screen printing department. This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys producing high-quality work, solving production challenges, and running a variety of flatbed presses in a fast-paced sign and graphics environment.
You'll print everything from signs and decals to point-of-purchase displays and industrial graphics on a wide range of substrates. We value craftsmanship, consistency, and people who take pride in producing work customers notice.

What You'll Do
- Set up and operate multiple flatbed screen presses for daily production.
- Produce high-quality single- and multi-color prints while maintaining tight registration.
- Adjust press settings, including off-contact, squeegee pressure, angle, stroke, and related print variables to ensure consistent results.
- Print on a variety of rigid and flexible materials including coroplast, PVC, acrylic, Dibond, styrene, vinyl, polycarbonate, magnetic stock, and other substrates.
- Mix inks to Pantone color standards and maintain color consistency throughout production.
- Coat, expose, reclaim, and maintain screens.
- Inspect finished work for color accuracy, registration, print quality, and dimensional accuracy.
- Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on press equipment.
- Track production output and help maintain screen inventory.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Our Equipment
You'll work on a variety of flatbed screen presses, including:
- AWT Accu-Print High-Tech Micro APHT-2538M
- COMEC SIMPLES 80x120
- Precision Screen Machines PS-Matic
Experience on these specific presses is a plus, but it is not required. If you've successfully operated comparable flatbed screen printing equipment, we'll help you become familiar with ours.
Minimum Qualifications
- Two or more years of hands-on flatbed screen printing experience.
- Experience setting up and running single- and multi-color production jobs.
- Ability to maintain accurate registration and consistently produce quality work.
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot routine equipment issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Reliable attendance and a team-first attitude.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWT, COMEC, Precision Screen Machines, American M&M, Svecia, Sakurai, Sias, or similar flatbed presses.
- Experience with UV, solvent, and/or water-based ink systems.
- Knowledge of mesh counts, emulsions, screen making, and ink mixing.
- Pre-press experience, including film output and screen exposure.
- Familiarity with Adobe Illustrator for basic file preparation.
- Experience in the sign, decal, point-of-purchase, or industrial graphics industry.
- Bilingual English and Spanish is a plus.
