Caregivers in the Patient R egistration A rea are the first point of contact for many of Akron General’s patients. As a Patient Access Representative , you will ensure patients, families and visitors have an exceptional experience , from the moment they enter the hospital to the time they return home . This position is a great steppingstone to other s in Customer Service or departments within the Cleveland Clinic system.
A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday from 10:30AM – 7:00PM, including rotating Saturday requirements.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Educate patients regarding their benefit levels, review eligibility, prepare estimates, advise patients of out-of-pocket expenses, collect payments, apply payments and maintain security of payments.
