We are looking for a dependable, hardworking, and motivated Lawn Care & Landscape Technician to join our growing team.
Position Overview
The Lawn Care & Landscape Technician is responsible for maintaining and improving customers’ lawns through professional lawn treatment applications while also assisting with landscaping projects when needed.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality work, wants to learn the landscaping industry, and is interested in growing with a company.
The right candidate will be trained on proper lawn care practices, product applications, equipment operation, and customer service standards.
Responsibilities:
Lawn Care Applications
- Apply fertilizer, weed control, insect control, and other lawn treatment products according to company standards
- Perform lawn evaluations and identify common turf issues including weeds, insects, nutrient deficiencies, and general lawn health concerns
- Properly calibrate and operate backpack sprayers, spreaders, and lawn care equipment
- Follow product labels, safety procedures, and application guidelines
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate property conditions with management
- Provide professional and courteous service while representing Heroes Lawn Care in the field
Landscaping Assistance
When lawn treatment routes are completed, assist with various landscaping projects including:
- Landscape bed preparation
- Mulching and rock installation
- Plant installation
- Edging and bed maintenance
- Sod installation and repair
- Irrigation assistance
- Drainage projects
- Hardscape installation support
- General property cleanup and improvement projects
Customer Service Expectations
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude while working at customer properties
- Communicate respectfully with homeowners and team members
- Explain basic lawn care recommendations when needed
- Ensure each job site is left clean and organized
- Take ownership of the quality of work performed
Qualifications
Required:
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in Texas weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor
- Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and follow company procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
- Previous lawn care, landscaping, irrigation, or agricultural experience
- Experience applying fertilizer, herbicides, or insect control products
- Knowledge of turf types common in Central Texas
- Texas commercial pesticide applicator license (or willingness to obtain)

Work Schedule:
Part-Time/Full-Time
Monday – Friday (with occasional Saturdays during busy seasons)
