Job Summary
Beer & Wine is looking for a dependable, hardworking, and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team. This position is more than just working a register—you will play an important role in helping customers, keeping the store fully stocked, unloading weekly deliveries, and maintaining a clean, organized shopping environment.
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, shows up on time, and enjoys working in a fast-paced retail setting. Experience is appreciated, but a positive attitude, reliability, and a strong work ethic are even more important.
Responsibilities
Provide friendly and professional customer service.
Operate the POS system accurately for cash and card transactions.
Restock beer, wine, spirits, and beverages throughout the day.
Unload, organize, and stock weekly deliveries (approximately 150 cases).
Maintain clean, organized, and fully stocked shelves and coolers.
Rotate inventory using FIFO (First In, First Out).
Check customer IDs and comply with all alcohol sales laws.
Keep the store clean, organized, and ready for customers.
Assist with other daily store operations as needed.
Qualifications
Reliable attendance and punctuality are required.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Friendly, professional, and customer-oriented.
Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable with physical work, including stocking shelves and unloading deliveries.
Basic math and cash-handling skills.
Retail experience is a plus, but not required.
Must be legally authorized to sell alcohol under Maryland law. (Over 21)
Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
