Duties
- Efficiently wash, sanitize, and dry dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen tools using proper food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with bussing tables and clearing plates to support overall restaurant cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of large pots, trays, and bulk supplies safely and correctly.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces, following food safety management protocols.
- Support food preparation activities by organizing clean utensils and ensuring all dishware is ready for service or catering events.
- Follow food handling guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and uphold high standards of food safety.
- Contribute to the overall cleanliness of the kitchen by assisting with general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and waste disposal.
Experience
- Prior restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and basic cleaning techniques.
- Experience with dishwashing or food handling in a busy kitchen environment is advantageous.
- Knowledge of knife skills, food preparation, or catering operations will be considered a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
- Previous banquet or hotel experience can be beneficial but is not mandatory; a positive attitude and willingness to contribute are essential.
