HWI Gear, Inc. is a small, family-owned American manufacturer that has been producing premium tactical gloves and protective equipment for military, law enforcement, and first responders for more than 25 years.
We're looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operator who takes pride in quality craftsmanship, enjoys working with their hands, and wants to be part of a close-knit team where every employee makes a difference.
This is a full-time, in-person position with opportunities to learn new skills and grow within our manufacturing operation.
What You'll Do
- Operate industrial sewing machines to manufacture tactical gloves and protective equipment to exact specifications.
- Cut, sew, and assemble gloves, liners, and related textile products.
- Inspect finished products to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.
- Monitor sewing equipment for proper operation and identify stitching or machine issues.
- Read and follow production work orders and manufacturing instructions.
- Assist with new product development, prototypes, and process improvements.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Work closely with production teammates to meet daily manufacturing goals.
- Train and mentor new sewing operators as needed.
What We're Looking For
- Experience operating industrial sewing machines (required).
- Experience with garment construction, textiles, or industrial sewing.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining consistent quality.
- Ability to read and understand written work instructions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing or assembly experience.
- Experience with heavy-duty industrial sewing equipment.
- Experience training or mentoring others.

Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Must be able to pass a drug screening, as required for our federal contract work.
- English proficiency sufficient to read work instructions and communicate with the production team.
- This is an in-person position located in Englewood, Colorado.
