Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cardiovascular Technician to join our advanced cardiac care team. This vital role involves supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures within the cardiovascular department, ensuring precise data collection, patient safety, and adherence to clinical protocols. Duties
Assist in performing diagnostic evaluations of cardiovascular conditions through procedures such as cardiac catheterization and sonography, ensuring accurate data acquisition and patient safety. Prepare and operate specialized equipment within the catheterization (cath) lab, maintaining strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Monitor vital signs continuously during procedures, interpreting physiological data to support clinical decision-making. Support interventional radiology and cardiology teams by setting up instruments, administering contrast media, and documenting procedural details meticulously. Collaborate with physicians and nursing staff to ensure seamless workflow during complex interventions in high-pressure environments like Level I Trauma Centers or emergency settings. Maintain detailed records of procedures, patient responses, and technical parameters for quality assurance and diagnostic accuracy. Uphold safety standards by adhering to infection control protocols, including aseptic techniques and proper handling of sensitive equipment.
Skills
Proficiency in interventional radiology techniques, including cardiac catheterization and angiography. Strong knowledge of cardiovascular physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic evaluation and intervention. Experience with telemetry monitoring systems for continuous patient assessment. Familiarity with sonography applications in vascular imaging and diagnostic procedures. Ability to interpret vital signs accurately during procedures to ensure patient stability. Knowledge of aseptic techniques essential for maintaining sterile fields in the cath lab environment. Prior experience working within Level II trauma centers or emergency medicine settings is highly desirable. Understanding of interventional cardiology procedures and their clinical applications enhances procedural support capabilities. Competence in utilizing diagnostic equipment, maintaining technical proficiency, and supporting complex interventions in fast-paced healthcare environments.
