Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen attentively to their vehicle concerns, and accurately document their needs for service.
- Explain repair recommendations clearly, including estimates for auto repairs such as transmissions, brake repair, oil changes, tire service, suspension, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, and auto body repairs.
- Manage the workflow by coordinating with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of services.
- Upsell additional services and maintenance options that enhance vehicle performance and safety while aligning with customer needs.
- Prepare detailed auto estimates using auto estimating software, ensuring transparency and accuracy for each vehicle serviced.
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate records of all sales and payments.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures to answer customer questions confidently.
Skills
- Proven dealership experience with a strong background in auto service management and customer relations.
- Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair procedures including transmissions, oil changes, brake repairs, tire services, suspension work, air brakes, alignment, shocks & struts, diesel engine repairs, and auto body work.
- Ability to upsell services effectively while providing honest recommendations that meet customer needs.
- Experience in auto estimating software and automotive service writing with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with service technician experience across various vehicle systems.
- Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally in high-pressure situations.
- Familiarity with dealership operations including cash handling and automobile sales processes.
- Knowledge of automotive repair standards such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, suspension work, alignments, shocks & struts replacement, diesel engine repairs, auto body repairs, air brake systems, and other essential maintenance services. Pay: $47,371.55 - $57,049.61 per year
