CNC Machinist Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machinery to produce precision parts according to specifications. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
Duties
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and milling machines with Mazatrol programming.
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Utilize bore gauges and coordinate measuring machines to ensure precision in measurements.
- Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Use hand tools effectively for adjustments and repairs as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections of finished products using basic math skills to verify dimensions and tolerances.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
Requirements
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience with CNC programming, particularly with Mazatrol systems.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, including lathe operations.
- Familiarity with coordinate measuring machines (CMM) for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills for calculations related to machining tasks.
- Ability to use bore gauges accurately for precision measurement.
- Experience with SolidWorks is a plus but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
