Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Hygiene Dental Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in helping our hygienist with x-rays and exams, and also supporting the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow within the dental clinic. This position requires a strong understanding of dental terminology, infection control practices, and patient management. MUST HAVE SOME RDA EXPERIENCE/KNOWLEDGE , GRADUATES WELCOME WILLING TO TRAIN THE RIGHT PERSON.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Take and record vital signs of patients to ensure their health and safety.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Implement infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines, Itero, and perform basic imaging tasks.
- Utilize 3D scanners for capturing precise dental impressions when necessary.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a dental clinic setting is preferred, but no needed
- Proficiency in dental terminology and understanding of infection control practices.
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards and HIPAA compliance.
- Experience with X-ray technology is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft or similar dental practice management software is a plus.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant training is an advantage.
