Responsibilities
- Safely operate school buses along designated routes, including over-the-road (OTR) driving routes and shuttle services.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checks on air brakes.
- Adhere strictly to traffic regulations, safety protocols, and company policies during all driving activities.
- Load, unload, and assist students with boarding and exiting the bus, ensuring proper use of safety equipment.
- Maintain clear communication with dispatch using mobile devices and follow route schedules precisely.
- Respond professionally to student needs and communicate effectively with parents, school staff, and colleagues to ensure a positive experience.
- After school/evening and some weekend extracurricular trips will be assigned.
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial vehicles such as buses or shuttle vans. Class B CDL with passenger and School Bus Endorsements required.
- Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic laws, safety protocols, and adverse weather driving conditions. Must have a clean driving record and pass a background check.
- Must pass a driver physical and pre-employment drug screen.
- Exceptional communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, school personnel, and team members.
- Experience in route driving within various environments.

Pay: $22.69 - $24.69 per hour
