Responsibilities
- Supervise all kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Manage inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs.
- Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and compliance with health regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Lead staff training and development initiatives, including onboarding new team members and providing ongoing coaching on food handling, cooking techniques, and customer service.
- Coordinate shift management by scheduling staff efficiently to meet service demands during peak hours in a quick service or casual dining setting.
- Oversee POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Collaborate with management on budgeting, food production planning, and menu development to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Skills
- Extensive experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen management within fast food, casual dining, or fine dining environments.
- Proficiency with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; strong cash handling skills.
- Demonstrated leadership in supervising staff, conducting interviews, training & development programs.
- Knowledge of inventory control practices, food safety standards, and sanitation regulations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a high-volume setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence.
- Background in restaurant management or hospitality management with experience in shift management and food industry operations. Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
