About the Role:
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work closely with our physical therapists to design and implement treatment plans that promote patient independence, mobility, and overall well-being. Your responsibility will include:
Assisting physical therapists with patient evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress reporting
Implementing treatment plans under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist
Providing education and training to patients, family members, and caregivers on proper techniques and exercises
Maintaining accurate records and reporting patient progress
Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Responsibilities:
Assist physical therapists with patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress reports
Provide direct patient care, including exercises, stretching, and strengthening programs
Educate patients, family members, and caregivers on proper techniques and exercises
Maintain accurate records and report patient progress
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient satisfaction surveys
Requirements:
Associate's degree in Physical Therapist Assistant or related field
Current PTA certification
Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
