We are hiring staff to run our booths at our many farmers markets, selling our locally grown hydroponic microgreens. YOU MUST HAVE A RELIABLE VEHICLE TO WORK FOR US. DO NOT APPLY FOR THIS JOB IF YOU DON'T HAVE A VEHICLE. When you apply, please list the type of vehicle you drive.
-Shifts will be Saturdays and/or Sunday mornings. Shifts are typically 5-6 hours so you will still have the bulk of your day to yourself.
-The market assigned to you may be in MD, DC or VA. Most of our farmers markets are within 30 minutes from us in Rockville, MD. Just a few markets are 35-45 minutes away. We select the market you will be assigned to, but many times we can give you some choices. We grow in Rockville, MD and you pick up all the supplies from us in Rockville, then drive to the market, set up, work the market by selling our microgreens. At the end, pack up and bring everything back, then your day is done.
-We are looking for staff to work at least 6 months, preferably longer.
-Set up/Breakdown is quite easy. We use just a 10' x 10' space at each of our markets. Typically takes 15-20 minutes to set up/breakdown.
-Staff MUST be reliable, honest, on time and outgoing so able to converse with customers. We teach you all about microgreens, set up, and how to work our markets. Communication skills are critically important.
-We are a very sustainable farm in a suburban area and have a strong customer base since we have been growing and selling our microgreens for 9 years.
-The primary purpose for our staff at the markets is to sell our microgreens.
-Pay starts at $17.00/hour. Additionally, you can earn tips and a sales bonus at each market. Most of our staff are making between $25-$35/hr. The more you sell, the more you make each week. We want you to be very successful and train you to be successful. This is a great part time job to supplement your weekly income.
