Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver – NON-CDL and become a vital part of our delivery operations! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods using a box truck that does not require a commercial driver’s license (NON-CDL). Duties
- Safely operate a box truck to deliver goods to various locations, adhering strictly to traffic laws and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, forklifts, or other material handling equipment while following safe lifting practices.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition for delivery routes.
- Plan efficient routes using mobile devices or GPS tools to maximize productivity and punctuality.
- Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, ensuring their needs are met with a positive attitude.
- Load and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit; unload at delivery sites with care and precision.
Qualifications
- Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with warehouse operations is preferred.
- Proven delivery driver experience, especially with box trucks or courier services.
- Ability to manually handle heavy lifting (50lbs)and moving tasks safely and efficiently.
- Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with commercial truck driving
- Knowledge of traffic regulations, safe driving practices, and DOT compliance requirements.
- Comfortable using mobile devices for route navigation and communication during deliveries.
- Strong customer service skills with a professional demeanor when interacting with clients and team members.
- Ability to perform manual transmission driving if applicable; physical ability to lift heavy loads regularly.
