Overview:
Experienced Furniture Installer needed to lead Furniture installation projects. Responsible to ensure the customer's expectations and schedules of the project while meeting the budgets. Responsible for the quality and timeliness of the work performed by the crew.
Responsibilities (partial list):
-Projects positive attitude & motivates team members
-Adheres to and ensures the crew follows the policies & procedures as outlined
-Supervises & participates in the delivery, staging, building of product, supervision of on-site crew to completion
-Keeps detailed records regarding all activities of the the job and communicates to office
-Establishes positive and good relationship with customers
-Ensure job sites are left in excellent condition, including trash removal, placement and cleaning of all furniture to the customer's satisfaction; Makes the client aware of all items that will need to addressed if there are issues.
-Ensures crew is positive and professional, dresses in appropriate attire as established, Maintains a "can-do" attitude in all situations including problems and challenges
-Assists in pricing of projects as needed
-Monitors time of all manpower on projects to achieve Budget goals
-Trains new installers on products, policies & procedures; Assists in development of crew and in-house training
-Loads and assists in loading products and equipment, assists in trash dumps and clean-up in warehouse (along with warehouse manager); Truck maintenance and cleaning
-Ensures all warehouse/truck/tool policies are adhered to - reports any issues
-Ensures all paperwork is returned to office with all required sign-offs, punchlist itemization, etc.
-Ensures all safety standards and practices are followed as determined in the Safety Manual
-Utilizes Software provided to efficiently perform responsibilities
Skills & Abilities:
-Professional Communication skills, written, verbal, listening skills
-Must demonstrate skills & characteristics of a leader with strong work ethic
-Must be able to make fair and objective decisions for the company goals & the customer's needs
-Ability to read blueprints, furniture plans, instructions, etc.
-Excellent customer service skills
-Ability to lift, move, load, offload up to 75-100 lbs
-Knowledge of assembly, troubleshooting various furniture lines
-Ability to oversee a crew & ensure they perform in a way that is cohesive, responsible, professional & thorough
Experience/Education/Licenses:
-Minimum 3 -5 years of commercial furniture installation
-Valid Driver's license and good driving record
-Clean Record for Criminal Record Check, Child Abuse Clearance & FBI Clearances
-Drug Testing applicable
-High School Diploma or GED required
-DOT Clearance to drive 26' Box Truck; Also driving 16' & Cargo vans; Medical authorization for 26' truck
