**Please note: This is a seasonal, part time position beginning in September**
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Front Counter Performer to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced festival environment. The Performer plays a crucial role in providing excellent customer service in a thematic environment. The right candidates will be those with exuberant personalities who wish to perform to the patrons with food magic. We make lemonades change colors with potions, torch dessert demonstrations and give our patrons an unforgettable experience. This job is a balancing act of engagement and speed to move along the line as quickly as possible. This is a thematic event and everyone at our front counter has to be in a themed outfit (from the waist up) for the Renaissance Festival. We can provide resources and options to buy affordable ren fair appropriate costuming. This position is perfect for individuals looking to gain experience in the festival food industry or the festival performing industry. Our entire team evenly splits a generous tip pool on top of the hourly rate listed.
Duties
- Take orders with a clover pos system with accuracy
- Perform potion magic with lemonade demonstrations with each lemonade order.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing smallware and cleaning surfaces.
- Communicate effectively with bartenders and other staff to ensure smooth operations during busy shifts.
- Support food preparation as needed, adhering to food handling and safety standards when prep work is needed.
- Assist with front of house set up in the morning and closing when festival day is over.
- Handle inventory management tasks, including monitoring stock levels and reporting shortages.
- Lift 50-75 lbs in product on occasion
Skills
- Experience in the restaurant or food industry is preferred.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork.
- Performance/theater background always a plus but not required. A willingness to learn and an eagerness to perform is the most important.
